Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Provides federal civil rights protection to individuals with disabilities that guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, state and local government services, and telecommunications.



Consumer Financial Privacy Requirements of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLB) Act

Also known as the Financial Modernization Act of 1999, the act includes provisions to protect consumers' personal financial information held by financial institutions.




Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act)

Facilitates the use of electronic records and signatures in interstate and foreign commerce by ensuring the validity and legal effect of electronic contracts.



Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act

Ensures all citizens are treated fairly when they apply for a mortgage or other form of credit. It provides consumers, companies, consumer reporting agencies, and regulators with important new tools that expand access to credit and other financial services for all Americans, enhances the accuracy of consumers' financial information, and helps fight identity theft.



Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)

A federal consumer protection law that outlines personal credit report rights. It requires credit bureaus to report information accurately and to remove or correct credit report information that is outdated or inaccurate.
